I bought this for my grand-daughter for Halloween. I bought the 12 month size and she was 7 months at the time. There was plenty of room. The head piece was very large so I put a piece of velcro on either side of the back and that took care of the problem. If I had not done that the head piece kept falling forward. In my estimation the fabric was too bulky. I think they could have used a fabric that was not so heavy and it would have been perfect. It is difficult for babies to move when the fabric is so bulky. As far as the look it was too cute. Baby girl looked just like a little blossom. Having said that, she was very happy to have the head piece removed at the end of Trick or Treating!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
