I bought the costume for my 1 month old. And it actually fit him pretty well. So Im not sure I would say that this would fit 3 to 9 months. I think thats a bit too broad of a size range for infants. The costume is made of felt so I wasnt overly excited about the material for the price. But overall it was a cute costume. And I must say my son rocked it : )
