My 4 year old was so disappointed with this item because of the tight fit. It is simply a tight fitting nylon sock covered in a web pattern. There is absolutely no sole or bottom-covering that would allow these to be worn anywhere outdoors. And there's no way they fit over a shoe. However, it is suitable for his around-the-house rescues!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
