My teen daughter has gotten a lot of use out of this costume, she has worn it for parties, halloween, and as a play costume twice. It's attractive and comfortable, but it's a good thing I sew because I have remade this thing twice, once just recently. To fit a range of sizes (I guess), the bodice material stretches in all directions, and over time this costume's top gained probably 6 sizes from the original. I've taken in 4" on both side seams, 2" at the shoulder seams, reset the sleeves and zipper... Another problem is there's no easy way to care for this costume: it's not to be dry cleaned, and because of the sewn-in plastic hoop at the bottom of the skirt, it won't fit in most washers...and it did take on a very funky smell despite Fabreeze and airing. I finally removed the hoop and washed this on gentle, inside out in my front-loader, hung it to dry...and it did fine. I have not yet reattached the plastic hoop but this could be done.
