The story of Costume Craze actually began 6 years ago with Matthew's Robes. In 2001, founder Matthew Maloney began selling monk robes online. But it wasn't long until "monk robes" grew into something much, much more. Today the company is called Costume Craze, and while we still sell those original monk robes (and proudly so), we also carry thousands of other costumes and accessories all year round! With help from co-founders Kathleen and Katie Maloney, as well as a dedicated team of enthusiastic employees, what started as a home based business by Matthew is now – and within just a few short years – one of the world's largest online costume retailers. Of course, with this growth comes great responsibility . . . especially to our many customers throughout the world. | To Order: | We accept the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, We accept mail in orders. The procedure is the same as other orders. You will receive an order confirmation and order number. Your order will be on hold until your check is received. It is best to mail your check immediately to prevent your costume from going out-of-stock while we wait for your check to arrive in our office. You credit card information (and all related personal information) is secured by 128-bit SSL Encryption while being transmitted to us. | Shipping: |
We ship instock orders within 1-2 business days (business days are Monday through Friday minus holidays) of receiving your order. We
ship all orders via USPS Priority Mail or UPS. Shipping
options available in your Shopping Cart
depend on the destination country and/or US Zip Code. All shipments to Alaska and Hawaii require at least one extra day beyond the usual. As an example, a package sent overnight to either of these two states will actually take at least two days to arrive. All domestic packages not destined for P. O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses are shipped via UPS. All Express international packages are also shipped through UPS. Slower international (surface and slower airmal packages) as well as packages destined for P.O. Boxes and APO/FPO addresses are shipped via USPS. UPS 2-day delivery means that we will process the order with 2-day delivery, and it will be delivered 2-3 (two or three) business days after it is shipped. As an example, an order with 2-day delivery placed on a Thursday will ordinarily be delivered on Monday but possibly on Tuesday. We cannot guarantee that an order we process and ship with Overnight or 2-day delivery will actually arrive overnight or in two days. The carrier may have difficulties beyond our control, such as inclement weather or inability to locate your address. Orders for overnight delivery that are processed on Friday will be delivered on Monday or Tuesday. You may request that we place a restriction on the delivery by requiring a signature. There is a $3.00 additional fee for this service. UPS does not ordinarily require a signature to deliver your order. They may, at their discretion refuse to deliver without a signature. We do not accept responsibility for packages that are lost, stolen or destroyed after being delivered. In other words, the risk of a package disappearing or being ruined for any reason (including, but not limited to, being lost, stolen, ruined by weather conditions, or eaten by a dog) after being delivered to you by any carrier to your address is yours alone. So if you have any concerns about this in your delivery area, we suggest you use your work address as the shipping address (where you will be available to sign for the package and assure its safety). |

| Return Policy: |
All sales are final. We do not accept returns on costume merchandise.
We do not rent our costumes. We must be notified within 2 days of receipt of costume merchandise of any defect in a costume or accessory. To remedy defective or incorrect merchandise,
please contact us by email (sales@costumecraze.com) or
telephone (888-922-7293) for an exchange and an authorization for return. We will not accept a return without prior authorization. Items which are never returnable include dog costumes, wigs, make-up, novelty teeth, beards, mustaches, tights, and socks. All orders that are authorized for return must include the entire costume with all its parts plus the original packaging. If the costume, its parts or the original packaging are not in perfect condition, no credit will be issued. We are unable to accept returns or exchanges of any kind for orders placed from October 10th through October 30th of each year. All exchanges, refused packages, packages returned to Costume Craze by the carrier (USPS, UPS, etc.) are subject to a 15% restocking fee. Credit will be given for the item only, minus any fees. No shipping charges in either direction are refundable. Packages which are shipped by Costume Craze and refused by the buyer for whatever reason are subject to a return fee of $5.00 in addition to the 15% restocking fee. Any return fee and restocking fee will be deducted from the amount credited for the return/exchange. CANCELLING AN ORDER: Unfortunately, it is often not possible to cancel an order once it is placed. If an order is in stock, it will be processed immediately and cancellation will be impossible because there are thousands of packages shipped daily and locating one is like finding a needle in a haystack. In general, you should consider that an in stock order placed is an order shipped and is not cancellable. |

| Customs and Import Duties: |
You may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a
shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance
must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot
predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to
country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, when ordering from Costume Craze, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods. If you refuse to pay the customs, the package will likely be abandoned, and you will still be responsible for full payment including shipping fees and all product charges. Please be aware that some countries will not allow goods made in China to be received in their country. If this is the case, the customs office in that country may refuse to allow the package to be delivered to you. Costume Craze cannot be responsible for this situation and will not refund any cost of costumes or cost of shipping if the package is refused by customs. Please check with your local customs office before ordering in order to prevent any difficulties in getting your order delivered to you in a country outside the USA. |
