Avatar Returns to the Big Screen

Good news for fans of the Na'vi... Avatar is returning to theaters! A special edition will be released on August 27, 2010 which features an extra 8 minutes of new footage.

This re-release of Avatar will be shown in select Digital 3D and IMAX 3D theaters.

Hmm, with Avatar coming back, and Halloween just around the corner... why not kill two Toruks with one stone?

Stay Cool in the Summer

Nothing tastes better on a hot summer day than a fruity spritzer. This carbonated cranberry pineapple beverage is oh-so-refreshing!

INGREDIENTS

* 2 cups cranberry juice
* 1 cup pineapple juice
* 1 cup orange juice
* 1 (4 ounce) jar maraschino cherries
* 2 tablespoons lemon juice
* 1 (12 fluid oz) bottle ginger ale
* 1 orange, sliced in rounds

DIRECTIONS

In a gallon pitcher combine cranberry juice, pineapple juice, orange juice, cherry juice and lemon juice. Just before serving, slowly add ginger ale; stir to blend. Serve over ice in cups or glasses. Garnish with cherry and orange slices!

4th of July Fun Facts

You probably knew that the Declaration of Independence was approved by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, setting the thirteen colonies on the road to freedom.

But, did you know...

The stars on the original American flag were arranged in a circle to ensure that all colonies were equal.

Before cars came along, the 4th of July was the most miserable day of the year for horses, tormented by all the noise and by the kids who threw firecrackers at them.

Both Thomas Jefferson and John Adams died on Independence Day, July 4, 1826.

The word patriotism comes from the Latin word patria, which means "homeland" or "fatherland."

The Owls of Ga'Hoole

The exciting trailer for Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole has been released! From Watchmen director Zack Snyder comes a 3D animated tale of the mythical owl warriors known as The Guardians of Ga'hoole.

Based on the books by Kathryn Lasky, the story follows Soren, a young owl who must find the Guardians of Ga'Hoole to save all of owlkind from the evil Pure Ones. The Guardians will fly into theaters on September 24, 2010.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Watch the new teaser trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! We are fast approaching Harry's final battle with the evil Lord Voldemort.

Voldemort's power is growing stronger. He now has control over the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts. Harry, Ron, and Hermione decide to finish Dumbledore's work and find the rest of the Horcruxes to defeat the Dark Lord.

Deathly Hallows, Part One will be released in Nov. 2010, and conclude with Part Two in July, 2011. It's hard to believe this amazing tale is coming to an end.

A cow's udder can hold 25-50 lbs. of milk at a time.

Cows drink the equivalent of about a bathtub full of water daily. Milk is 87.5% water!

Some cows can produce upwards of 100 lbs. of milk daily... that's about 12 gallons!

And finally, recent studies show that the nutrient composition of chocolate milk helps muscles recover faster after physical activity than leading sports drinks. Wow, milk really does do a body good!

But we'll leave the research and statistics to the dairy scientists and concentrate on what we know best... cow costumes!
