    I bought this for Halloween. I teach H.S. English and we're studying Gothic fiction, so want to play the part. It is a quality costume. After reading other reviews, I decided to order a size up. Good idea. The lacing makes it possible to adjust around the waist. It is really short. I'm 5'8" and when I first put it on, it was a good 6" off the floor. The petticoat can be pulled down to touch the ground, but I'm not sure if it'll stay there through the day. It looks a little off. It is also short-waisted, but I laced it down lower so it still accents my waist. Honestly, I thought I'd been sent a petite size. This would fit a 5'2" person just great. The color is more like the pics of the parts of the dress--not as red as the dress on the model.

        I liked that since it laces in the front it fit both myself (size 10) & my 16 yr old daughter (size 3). It looks great on, the only thing my daughter complained about is that it's itchy
